Judgement for Two Beasts (Rev. 19:20)

SPIRITUAL DIARY FOR

11/11/2005

My Worship Time                 Focus:  Judgment for two beasts

Bible Reading & Meditation                        Reference:  Revelation 19:20

Message of the verse:  “20  And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.”
As I have written earlier about these two men concerning that there have always been antichrists and false prophets alive upon this earth, as was written about in John’s first letter, and when these two men are thrown alive into the lake of fire this will be the end of antichrists and false prophets forever, for Jesus Christ will set up His Throne in Jerusalem and rule there for 1000 years and He will rule with a rod of iron, and sin will be dealt with swiftly.  The verse goes on to say that it was these two men who have deceived all those who received the mark of the beast and who worshiped the image of the beast, and for all of these sins they were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.  (Brimstone has something to do with sulphur and when used in this way in the Scriptures denote judgment).

Spiritual meaning for my life today:  This verse speaks of God’s pay day for all of these people who were antichrists and false prophets, for our times are not God’s times.  God has a plan and no one will be able to prevent His plan to get off track.

The Word of God was refreshing to my heart as I read it this morning.

My Steps of Faith Today:  Continue to trust the Lord throughout all of the trials that He is taking me through.
