My
Worship Time Focus: The all-knowing God
Bible
Reading & Meditation Reference: Hebrews 4:13
1. Message of the verse: “And there is no creature hidden from His
sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must
give account.” (NKJV) “Nothing in all creation can hide from
Him. Everything is naked and exposed before
His eyes. This is the God to whom we
must explain all that we have done.
(NLT)
Not only
is the Word of God living and active, but God Himself, who has written this
wonderful Book for us is all knowing and all-powerful. God knows everything as this verse says and
nothing escapes from His knowledge, no one can hide from God as evidenced by
Jonah found out. We are all as the text
says, “naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” Believers will give an account of their lives
and how we have used the gifts and abilities that God has given to us. No-believers will give an account on why they
refused the grace that God offered to them and will thus pay for their sins
because they chose not to accept the payment for their sins that Jesus Christ
paid for on the cross.
2.
Spiritual meaning for my life today:
To think about giving an account of my life to God is very sobering to
me. I know that there were times in the
past when I would not think about this in the right way and kind of pass over
this because I knew that Jesus has paid for my sins and therefore God will not
speak to me about any sins in my life.
However as I think about the rest that I am to obey God by entering into
it, and as I look back at the miracle of salvation that God has provided for me
in Christ Jesus, then I see this in a different light and realize that my life
must be lived in obedience to God and to His Word.
The Word of God was convicting to me today.
My
Steps of Faith Today: To
make an efferent, by faith, to enter into the rest that God desires me to enter
into, and live by the power of His Holy Spirit.
Memory verse for the week:
1Peter 4:10
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve
others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.
