My Worship Time                                                      Focus:  Keep from wrong messages

 

Bible Reading & Meditation                                     Reference:  2Timothy 2:17

 

            Message of the verse:  And their message will spread like cancer.  Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sorts.”

            The word cancer means a disease that will spread rapidly and will cause ones death.  The lies of the false teachers can have the same effect on those who would believe it.  The two men that Paul has mentioned in this verse are likely false teachers.

            Spiritual meaning for my life today:  I would say that I have meet few false teachers in my day like the ones that Paul has described in this verse, however there are things that can cause me to go astray, things that I view on the TV for instance.

           

            The Word of God was enlightening to me today as well as convicting.

 

My Steps of Faith Today:  I have already gotten to the mobile home that we were heading for without any problems, of which I praise the Lord for.  I have also had my prayer time with Sandy this morning.

 

Memory verse for the week:  1Timothy 6:9

 

 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
