False Teacher's Error (2 Tim. 2:18)

My Worship Time                                                      Focus:  False teacher’s error

 

Bible Reading & Meditation                                     Reference:  2Timothy 2:18

 

            Message of the verse:   “-who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some.”

            In this verse Paul continues to discuss the two men mentioned in verse 17 and points out their error.  These two teach that the resurrection of the dead has already taken place.  By teaching this error they will “overthrow” the faith of some.  True believers cannot have their faith overthrown, (see Matthew 24:24.)  These types of things have a bad effect on the body of believers and they should not put up with it.  ""For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect."

            Spiritual meaning for my life today:   I am not to listen to any false things concerning the Word of God.  If people come to my door I am to not let them into my house.

           

            My Steps of Faith Today:  I would like to continue to have prayer time with my wife and I would like to make it to Church this evening at the Church that Pastor Burns goes to.
