The Eternal All-Seeing God (Rev. 1:14)

SPPIRITUAL DIARY FOR 02/02/2005

My Worship Time                                                      Focus:  The Eternal All-Seeing God

Bible Reading & Meditation                                                 Reference:  Rev 1:14

Message of the verse:  14 His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And his eyes were bright like flames of fire.  (NAS95)  14 And his head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; (BBE)

What John has seen is very similar to that of what Daniel saw and is recorded in Daniel 7:9, 13, & 22.  Daniel saw his vision a bit over 500 years before Christ was born in Bethlehem, and nearly 600 years before John saw his.  The white hair described upon the Lord Jesus Christ’s head can represent His eternality, and His eyes enable Him to see all and to judge all righteously.  It is no wonder that both Daniel and John fell like dead men when this awesome sight was revealed to them.

Spiritual meaning for my life today:  I would say that as I look at the appearance of Christ in these verses that I have to think of the privilege that it is to worship Him in all of His Splendor and Glory.  Jesus Christ is my God who is eternal and who knows all and who sees all, and who judges righteously over all.

The Word of God was convicting, was refreshing and was challenging to my heart as I read it this morning.

My Steps of Faith Today:  To continue to trust the Lord Jesus Christ with all of the, seemingly bad things, that are going on in my life at this time.
