What John saw Continued (Rev. 1:15)

SPIRITUAL DIARY FOR 02/03/2005

My Worship Time                                                      Focus:  What John Saw Continued

Bible Reading & Meditation                                                 Reference:  Rev 1:15

Message of the verse:  15 His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters.  (NAS95)  15 His feet were as bright as bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice thundered like mighty ocean waves.  (NLT)

It is possible that the description of His feet means judgment, and that Christ will one day judge those who have not accepted His sacrifice for their sins.  As far as a voice like many waters this may mean that Christ’s message of salvation will be heard around the world through those whom He has appointed for salvation, telling others about it.

Spiritual meaning for my life today:  I must keep myself clean and be available to spread the good news of the Gospel to those whom the Lord will send my way.  I am thankful that my judgment for sin has fallen upon the Lord Jesus Christ when He suffered and died in my place.

The Word of God has been a challenge to my heart as I studied it this morning.

My Steps of Faith Today:  The first thing that I read when I got up this morning was a sentence in the GBC Wednesday night prayer bulletin which said, “They are so grateful and reminds us that scripture tells us over and over again that God honors obedience with protection and provision.  He is worthy of our trust.”  I truly needed to hear this at this time in my life, and I am so thankful that I am a part of the body of Christ, and have people praying for Sandy and I as we go through yet another test from the Hands of our loving Father.
