SPIRITUAL DIARY
My Worship Time Focus: Aaron Meets Moses in the wilderness
Bible Reading & Meditation Reference: Exodus 4:27-28
Message of the verses: “27 Now the LORD said to Aaron, "Go to meet Moses in the wilderness." So he went and met him at the mountain of God and kissed him. 28 Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD with which He had sent him, and all the signs that He had commanded him to do.”
God sends Aaron to meet Moses at Mount Horeb , which is another name for Mount Sinai, and so the two brothers have a reunion on the mountain of God and Moses reveals all the things that the Lord had told him to his brother. Moses and Aaron would be together for most of the next forty years doing the work of the Lord. Ecc. 4:9 speaks of it is better to have two people working together than one: “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.” In Marks Gospel it is written that Jesus sent His disciples out in pairs: “And He *summoned the twelve and began to send them out in pairs, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits.” In Acts 13:2 it is recorded that the Holy Spirit separated Saul and Barnabas to go out and preach the Gospel to the Gentiles: “While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.’” After reading those sections of the Scripture it shows me that God says that it is better to work in pairs.
Both of these men would make mistakes in their service for the Lord but I would suppose that anyone who serves the Lord has made some mistakes while doing it, but God is gracious to His children.
Spiritual meaning for my life today: I have made many mistakes in my service for the Lord, and I am most thankful for God forgiveness, mercy, love and grace.
My Steps of Faith for Today: I want to continue to serve the Lord in any way that He leads me and trust Him to pick me up every time that I fall, and not allow the Devil to discourage me in my walk with the Lord.
Memory verses for the week: 2Cor. 12:9-10
9. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
10. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with, persecutions with distresses, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
