SPIRITUAL DIARY

My Worship Time                                                                  Focus:   The Lord sees David’s tears

Bible Reading & Meditation                                     Reference:  2Samuel 15:30

Message of the verses:  “30  And David went up the ascent of the Mount of Olives, and wept as he went, and his head was covered and he walked barefoot. Then all the people who were with him each covered his head and went up weeping as they went.”

Mr. A.W. Tozer writes the following “The Bible was written in tears and to tears it will yield its best treasures.”  David was a strong and courageous man, but when it came time to weep he was not afraid of weeping.  God had given David a covenant that there would be someone from his decedents reigning until the Messiah would come and Absalom was not that man to take over from his father as God did not chose him, but he chose Solomon to rule after David.

David had many things to week about and one of them was what happened to Tamar and then Amnon, and now Absalom and it all began with his sin with Bathsheba which he also wept over.

Spiritual meaning for my life today:  I cannot be afraid crying when the time is right for crying and Wednesday was the right time for crying.

My Steps of Faith for Today:

1.      I have given my wife to the Lord and now I have to stay out of the Lord’s way as He works in her life.
