SPIRITUAL DIARY FOR 04/05/2006
My Worship Time Focus: God’s promise to all
Bible Reading &
Meditation Reference: Genesis 8:22
Message of the verse: “22 All the days of the earth, seed and
harvest, cold and heat, summer and spring, shall not cease by day or night.”
This
promise spoken to God and given to Noah is a promise for all who live on this
earth, and it is a wonderful promise that many in our time, and in times past
have taken for granted. This promise
from God assures us that this earth that we live on will always have days,
nights, weeks, and seasons, and they will all be on time. How is it that we can precisely tell when the
sun will rise and set, and when the moon will be full and be new, and when the
different seasons begin and end, and then the next season begins? The answer to all of this lies in this
promise in Genesis 8:22, yet many people, including many believers take this
for granted, and forget to praise the Lord, the God of all creation for this
wonderful promise. We have a wonderful
God who has given all His wonderful promises and He deserves all of the praise
for this.
It would be
six years and three months that I would preach a sermon at my mother’s funeral
and in that message I mentioned that my mother would say to me that she learned
that in the end times that the world would burn up and that summer would be in
winter time and winter would be in summer time.
I explained to those in attendance that the part about the world burning
up is a true statement as Peter speaks of this in 2 Peter chapter three, but
the other part was not true. 4/9/2020

Spiritual meaning for my life today: During this portion of my devotions I would
like to confess to my heavenly Father that I have not given Him His due praise
for keeping this promise that is in this verse that I am studying today, so I
want to thank the Lord that all the days on the earth, seed and harvest, cold
and heat, summer and spring, shall not cease by day or night.
The Word of God ha been refreshing to my soul as I read and
studied it this morning.
My Steps of Faith
Today: First of all I want to thank
the Lord for keeping His promises and taking away the fear that I had
yesterday, thanking Him for seeing me through the surgery and for continuing to
see me through the recovery period. I am
thankful for all those who prayed for this event and all of my family and
Christian brothers and sisters.
Memory verse for the week:
Philippians 2:14-16 Do all things
without grumbling and disputing, so that you may prove yourself to be blameless
and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom
you appear as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that in
the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain or
toil in vain.
