The Ten Commandments from 1 Tim. 1:10

My Worship Time                                                      Focus:  10 Commandments

Bible Reading & Meditation                         Reference:  1Timothy 1:10

Message of the verse:  Paul continues to name sins that deal with the last five of the Ten Commandments.  The first five deals with man’s relationship with God while the last five deal with man’s relationship with man.  Paul’s reasoning for this is because he is writing about the false teachers and their relationship with others in Timothy’s congregation.  The last part of this verse reads, “and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine.”  This speaks of the doctrine that is correct,  the doctrine that comes from God, and the doctrine that cannot come from the false teachers.

Spiritual meaning for my life today:  This is good advice for any day of the week.  I am speaking about “sound doctrine.”  Sound doctrine is something that I always need to follow, it is something that takes careful study of God’s Word to make sure that I am following His sound and true doctrine.

The Word of God was refreshing to me today.

My Steps of Faith Today:  Well seeing that today is about over for me I would say that one of the things that I want to accomplish is to look over and try and put my memory verse for the week to memory.

Memory verse for the Week:  1John 4:18  There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment.  But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
