Praise the Lord (Rev. 7:11-12)

SPIRITUAL DIARY FOR

05/24/2005

My Worship Time                  Focus:  Praise The Lord

Bible Reading & Meditation             Reference:  Revelations 7:11-12

Message of the verse:  “11  And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12  saying, ‘Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen.’”

It seems to me that after these Tribulations Saints began to praise the Lord, as seen in verses nine and ten, that the rest of those who were around the throne echoed the praise of these new saints as they to began to praise God, who is worthy of all praise forevermore.  Amen.  In the original language of the NT the word Amen means I believe, so by saying Amen they were concurring with the Tribulation Saints.

Spiritual meaning for my life today:  Praising the Lord is contagious and so it is wonderful to begin to praise the Lord when around others so that they to will join in the praise, after all that is what worship service is all about.

The Word of God was so very refreshing to my heart as I read it this morning.

My Steps of Faith Today:  Continue to trust the Lord with all of the things that are going on in my life these days, things that on the surface do not seem to be good, but knowing from the depths of my heart that God will work them out for my good and for His glory.

Memory verse for the week:  Ephesians 6:13-14

Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.  Stand firm therefore having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness.
