SPIRITUAL DIARY
My Worship Time Focus: Intercession
Bible Reading & Meditation Reference: Exodus 10:16-19
Message of the verses: “16
Then Pharaoh hurriedly called for Moses and Aaron, and he said, "I
have sinned against the LORD your God and against you. 17
"Now therefore, please forgive my sin only this once, and make
supplication to the LORD your God, that He would only remove this death from
me." 18 He went out from Pharaoh and made
supplication to the LORD. 19 So the LORD shifted the wind to a very strong
west wind which took up the locusts and drove them into the Red Sea; not one
locust was left in all the territory
of Egypt .”
This
plague shows the awesomeness of God, for when I look at how this plague took
place I can see that God, through Moses told Pharaoh what He was going to do,
He then made it possible for all of the locusts to be born at this correct
time, brought the East wind to bring them into the correct place to do the
damage, then He answered Moses’ prayer to have the locusts leave, and did this
by turning the wind around and have it come from the West thus driving the
locusts into the sea. By doing this God
showed that He was God and the Egyptian god over fertility and crops, Osiris
was shown to have no power compared to what God has.
Pharaoh
came up with another story to get God to stop with this plague, and God
answered Moses intercession on Pharaoh’s plea, but I think that God was doing
this just to show His power and might and to show, not only Egypt , but the
whole watching world that He was in control.
Spiritual meaning for my life today: I believe that this was said in an earlier
SD, but I still think that it goes for this section of Scripture, and that is
that I don’t want to make any deals with God after I have sinned against Him,
but I always want to truly confess sin and repent from it, even sins that I
have committed more that others.
My Steps of Faith for Today:
Trust the Lord to see me through this day which consists of Sandy and I attending the
wedding of Janee’ Dozier. I trust the Lord to get me through this day without
having any IBS problems and also that He will grant us a good time at this
blessed event.
