SPIRITUAL DIARY

My Worship Time                              Focus:  Unnatural male discharges

Bible Reading & Meditation               Reference:  Lev. 15:1-15

Message of the verses:  These first fifteen verses from chapter fifteen of Leviticus speaks of an unnatural discharge from a man.  This does not necessarily just mean discharges like unnatural semen, for it could mean diarrhea or the man could have a cold and have the discharge from his nose or mouth.  There is surely a health issue and these laws were there from the Lord to keep others from getting whatever it is that this man has; however there is also a sin issue here too.

Here is an example of this type of thing in a sinful way:  “16  But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness, 17  and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18  men who have gone astray from the truth saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and they upset the faith of some.”  What comes out of a persons mouth can actually cause more trouble that unhealthy things that come out of a persons body.

Spiritual meaning for my life today:  This section of Scripture speaks to me about what kind of things that proceed out of my mouth that should not come out of my mouth.

My Steps of Faith for Today:

  1. Guard my mouth and my heart.
  2. Give myself to the Lord for worship and service.
  3. Put on my spiritual armor.
  4. Trust the Lord to guide my path today.
  5. Trust the Lord to teach me, and for me to learn contentment.

Memory verses for the week:                      Exodus 20:8-12

  1. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
  2. Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
  3. but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or female slaves or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you.
  4. For in six day the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
  5. Honor your father and your mother, that the days may be prolonged in the land which the Lord your God gives you.
